Description and specifications
Research Compound GHRP-2 is a laboratory material for analytical and in vitro work.
What is GHRP-2?
GHRP-2 (also known as pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide with the sequence D-Ala-D-2Nal-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2 and a molecular weight of approximately 818 Da. It contains several D-amino acids and the non-natural amino acid naphthylalanine, which increase resistance to enzymatic degradation.
Research background
GHRP-2 was developed as a successor to the earlier GHRP-6 in research on synthetic growth hormone secretagogues. In Japan it has been used as a diagnostic pharmacological tool for assessing pituitary function.
Mechanism and scientific context
GHRP-2 is an agonist of the GHS-R1a receptor, the same receptor targeted by endogenous ghrelin. Activation on pituitary somatotrophs stimulates GH release independently of the GHRH receptor. Pharmacological studies also describe effects on ACTH, cortisol and prolactin, distinguishing it from more selective compounds such as ipamorelin.
Main research areas
- GHS-R1a / the ghrelin receptor
- pituitary GH signalling
- secretagogue selectivity
- endocrine pharmacology
Level of evidence
Older human pharmacological data exist from endocrine research. They do not confirm the safety or properties of this research material.

COA on request
To enquire about a certificate of analysis (COA), send the material name, requested variant and LOT / batch number if available. Documents are not published on this page.
Request a COA by emailThe button opens your email app with a prepared enquiry. You send the message yourself. peptivapeptides@protonmail.com
A COA applies to a specific batch and documents the analytical parameters tested for that batch. The product is intended strictly for laboratory, analytical and in vitro research.
