Description and specifications
What is MOTS-c?
MOTS-c is a 16-amino acid mitochondrial-derived peptide, encoded within mitochondrial DNA. It acts as a signal between mitochondria and the nucleus and is of interest in research on cellular energy, metabolic adaptation, and stress response.
Mechanism and scientific context
In experimental models, MOTS-c is associated with AMPK activation, changes in folate and purine metabolism, and adaptation of glucose utilization. Under conditions of metabolic stress, the peptide can translocate to the nucleus and influence the expression of genes involved in cellular defense.
Main areas of research
- AMPK and energy homeostasis
- insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism
- mitochondrial-nuclear communication
- physical adaptation, aging, and stress resistance
How to interpret research data?
When reading literature, check the identity of the material tested, the type of model, and the study limitations. The existence of a paper on a molecule does not confirm the properties of this product or its batch. Findings from laboratory and animal models do not prove clinical benefit.

You select the quantity and available format as a variant of the same product. The price and declared quantity are displayed according to the selected variant. A photograph of a different quantity is not a representation of the content of the selected variant.
Packaging format and content
Research dispenser: The variant contains a fully filled dispenser with the selected content, not just a separate replacement cartridge. The quantity indicated with the variant refers to the total declared content, not the quantity per individual use.
Lyophilized vial: The variant contains lyophilized material in a vial, without a dispenser. This description does not refer to bacteriostatic water or a separate empty container.
Storage and handling conditions depend on the specific formulation and batch declaration. The packaging format does not confirm sterility, dosing precision, stability, or suitability for human or animal application.
Important limitations
Most mechanistic evidence comes from cellular and animal models. MOTS-c is not approved for clinical use and results must not be translated into therapeutic promises.
Batch documentation
For inquiries about available COA documentation, please contact peptivacomhr@gmail.com with the product name and LOT number if known. Availability and scope of analyses are checked for the specific batch. COA does not inherently prove sterility or suitability for human or animal application.
Intended use and limitations: This product is intended for laboratory research use only. It is not intended for human or animal application, diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, or prevention of disease. The description is not medical advice. The research-use-only label and packaging name do not inherently determine the regulatory status of the product or prove its safety or sterility.
COA on request
To enquire about a certificate of analysis (COA), send the material name, requested variant and LOT / batch number if available. Documents are not published on this page.

A COA applies to a specific batch. A purity result alone does not establish sterility, absence of endotoxins or safety for use in humans or animals.
