PNC-27 and FOXO4-DRI are studied through different cellular pathways: membrane HDM-2 and FOXO4–p53 signalling. The evidence is predominantly preclinical.
PNC-27: the membrane HDM-2 model
PNC-27 contains a p53-derived domain and a membrane-penetrating segment. Its binding to membrane HDM-2 and pore formation are studied in cellular models. This is predominantly an in vitro and preclinical research area, rather than an established clinical therapy.

FOXO4-DRI: senescence and the FOXO4–p53 interaction
FOXO4-DRI was developed to disrupt the interaction between FOXO4 and p53 in senescent cells. Foundational studies describe selective induction of apoptosis in particular senescence models and improvements in some measures of homeostasis in mice.

FOXO4-DRI, FOXO 4 DRI and FOXO4
FOXO4 is a protein name, whereas FOXO4-DRI denotes a research peptide. FOXO 4 DRI is a spaced spelling of the same search term; DRI is not a separate compound. Research on the FOXO4 protein does not establish the effects of FOXO4-DRI material.
